Our Story
From Bowling Lanes to Buffet Lines — Built on Local Legacy
Founder Mandy Haws has been a staple in the Norman business community for nearly two decades as the operator of Sooner Bowling Center — one of Norman’s most beloved family entertainment spots.
Social Butterfly Catering first began as an extension of Sooner Bowling Center’s in-house food and event offerings, where Mandy and her team perfected the art of feeding large groups while keeping service smooth and memorable. That same foundation of hospitality, event know-how, and attention to detail now drives everything we do for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations across Norman, Moore, and the OKC metro.
Mandy grew up in her family’s flower shop in Kansas City, where she worked weddings and events from an early age. That lifelong exposure to celebration, service, and presentation continues to shape the way Social Butterfly approaches every event today.
What started with casseroles and take-home meals quickly evolved into full-service event catering, serving everything from intimate showers to large corporate gatherings and university-wide events.
Today, Social Butterfly Catering is known across Norman and the University of Oklahoma campus for reliable service, crowd-pleasing menus, and an exceptional team.
